Domestic violence deaths : Risks, responsibility and review

Forum and Workshop

20 May 2011 ~ Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, Sydney, NSW, Australia

This event brought together researchers, policy makers and practitioners to enhance research and practice collaboration, and to review evidence from Australia and Canada regarding the prevention of domestic violence related deaths. The forum focused on risk factors and systemic gaps in policies, training and resources that are related to domestic violence related deaths. The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to examine issues surrounding the assessment of homicide risk in a counselling context.
